Impressed with Service

Hi Pam,

I just wanted to say how impressed we have been with the live-in carer, called Hope from Lifeline Health Care. Hope has been living with my elderly parents, helping to support my 87 year old mum, who had a bad fall over 2 months ago, sustaining a bleed on the brain and a badly fractured arm which has not healed, making my mum’s movement very difficult. This is further exacerbated with my mu having Parkinson disease and osteoarthritis, so she is prone to falling and being unsteady on her feet.

Hope has been with my mum for coming up to 3 weeks now and I am really pleased to say that Mum has not had a single fall/injury during this time, this is because Hope has managed to keep her steady on her feet and stop her from falling when she has become unbalanced, which is frequent. My dad is also elderly and whilst he can look after himself, he is not strong enough due to a heart condition, or quick enough to help my mum and support her needs.

Hope is a very pleasant, happy, and positive individual who is always attentive, and quick to react, when my mum, often without warning, due to Parkinsons, will try and get up. Hope takes the time with my mum to talk with her and care for her with dignity and compassion.

When I asked my mum what she liked about Hope, she said she was a very good carer, she liked the way that Hope always had her hand behind her back when she was moving, which made her feel safe. She also said Hope had lots of patience with her, as my mum’s speech can be hard to understand due to Parkinsons disease, and that Hope was also a very good listener, which I think is very important skill when caring for the elderly.

In sum, we as a family and especially my Mum think Hope is an excellent carer who has enabled my mum to finally come home and is helping my mum regain some of her Independence after being in hospital for nearly 9 weeks. My mum is so much happier than she was in hospital and the care support provided has really helped her.

Hope is credit to both herself and your care team.

Kind Regards

Honest & Professional

“We have commissioned Lifeline to deliver various domiciliary care packages and they repeatedly demonstrate an open honesty and professional manner. They are very responsive to our needs.

I have heard nothing but praise from clients and families about the organisation, the leadership and the individual carers themselves. Just this morning gentleman whose wife is now receiving care from them following a very problematic experience with a previous care provider described them as exactly what he and his wife were looking for from carers.

I am not aware of any safeguarding or quality concerns. I cannot recommend them highly enough as a provider. “

Proactive and solution-driven

“We have been working with this provider for some time. There have been occasional concerns over quality and carer’s ability to communicate with client and families. However, whenever we have had concerns, the manager has been proactive in trying to resolve these. There have been at times where we might have expected the provider contact others for advice, rather than trying to resolve any issues with families, however we have discussed this with the provider, and they seem to be taking this on board.

They have attended and contributed to professionals’ meetings held in relation to our client.”
